Not Sure Which Service Is Right for You?
You don't need to know exactly what kind of counselling you need before reaching out. Book a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns and find out which service may be the best fit.
Cancelled / Missed Appointments: Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are subject to the full session fee.
Our Policies
Guardian Consent: We require consent from both legal guardians before a child begins counselling. This helps ensure both parents have had the opportunity to be informed and involved in the decision. Where necessary, we may request a separation agreement, parenting agreement or court order to clarify guardianship and decision-making responsibilities.
Payment: Payment is due before or at the time of your appointment. We accept Interac e-transfer and credit cards. Receipts are emailed after each session.
Direct Billing: We offer direct billing to select extended health benefit providers. Coverage and eligibility vary by insurer, plan and clinician. Please confirm your coverage with your provider before your appointment.
Confidentiality: Information shared during counselling is kept confidential, except where disclosure is required or permitted by law. This may include situations involving child protection concerns, a serious risk of harm, or a legal requirement to disclose information. The limits of confidentiality are discussed at the beginning of counselling.
Children & Youth: Confidentiality and access to information involving children and youth depend on factors such as the young person's age and capacity, guardianship and parental responsibilities, applicable agreements or court orders, and legal and professional requirements. These limits are explained in an age-appropriate way.
Clinical Notes & Records: We recognize the importance of protecting a child's privacy in counselling, particularly when parents are separated or divorced. Clinical notes are not routinely shared with parents. Requests for records are considered in light of applicable law, court orders, the child's privacy and relevant professional obligations.
